Handover is a screen time control app. You choose apps to block and the conditions under which they are blocked. Getting back in early is deliberately costly. Using the app means accepting these terms.
You must be at least sixteen. Handover is a self control tool for your own devices. It is not a parental control or surveillance product, and you may only use it on devices you own.
An account is optional. Without one, everything stays on your phone and is lost if you delete the app. With one, your streak, rules and credits survive a reinstall. You sign in with an email code, or with Apple or Google. You can delete your account at any time in the app.
Some features need a paid plan, bought through the App Store or Google Play. Prices are shown before purchase. Billing, renewal, cancellation and refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their terms.
Handover is a digital wellbeing tool. It gives no medical, psychological or therapeutic advice. If phone use is seriously affecting your life, consider speaking to a qualified professional.
Do not use Handover to control another person's device without their knowledge and consent. Do not interfere with the service, other accounts or our infrastructure. Do not reverse engineer the app except where the law expressly permits it.
The app is provided as is. To the maximum extent permitted by law we are not liable for missed messages, calls or notifications while apps are blocked; for the consequences of a block working as designed; for the consequences of a bypass or enforcement failure; for any malfunction of your device caused by the operating system's own restriction mechanisms, including apps that remain blocked after Handover is removed or settings left in a restricted state, which are known operating system faults outside our control; for loss of data resulting from a reset; or for indirect or consequential damages. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited. Our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
We may update the app and these terms. Material changes will be shown in the app and you may close your account if you disagree. We may suspend accounts that breach these terms. Provisions that by their nature survive termination continue to apply.
These terms are governed by the laws of Australia. Nothing here excludes rights under the Australian Consumer Law, and mandatory consumer protection law where you live is unaffected.
