Handover is a screen time app. You choose which apps to block and under what conditions, and the ways back in are deliberately costly, so the habit changes through friction rather than willpower.
A rule is three choices: which apps, how they are held, and when. Hold them completely, give them a daily budget, or allow short sessions. Run that on a schedule, at a place, or once you have walked far enough.
Getting back in early costs you. Break Glass ends any rule after a fifteen minute wait and takes a day off your streak. Nothing is ever locked away for good, and calls, messages, maps and the camera are never blocked.
Handover cannot see what you do in your apps. On iPhone, Apple hands the app opaque tokens that identify nothing, and your usage figures are drawn on your device by Apple itself. None of it reaches us.
